3-D Eyebrow Embroidery

Chances are you’ve never heard of 3D Eyebrow Embroidery.  It is a specialized form of micro-blading that creates natural looking brows that last about a year.

Using a semi-permanent makeup pigment, our highly trained aestheticians create fine, hair-like strokes to give the effect of perfectly arched, natural and symmetrical brows.  Since the procedure is performed at the skin surface, eyebrow embroidery is much safer than an eyebrow tattoo.

An initial consultation is done to determine the precise color and style desired. Then our expert outlines and pencils in the brow to make sure it is to the client’s liking. Next, a medical strength anesthetic cream is applied to the area and, once it's numb, the custom color is feathered on using a special tool, one tiny hair at a time. The entire process takes less than 90 minutes.

Eyelash Extensions

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are individual strands of faux lashes expertly attached to each natural eyelash with a special medical grade adhesive. They are applied to the eyelashes themselves and never in direct contact with your skin.

We only use the highest quality faux lashes available on the market today. They range in thickness, curl shape, and lash length. We are proud to say that we have one of the most talented lash artists in Gaston County on our staff.

Natural Eyelash Facts

The upper eyelid has approximately 90-150 eyelashes on it, while the bottom has between 70 – 80 eyelashes.
Eyelashes grow in three phases:
1. Active Growth Phase - Roughly 40% of the upper eyelashes are in active growth at any one time. This phase lasts 30 to 45 days.
2. Transitional Phase - During this phase, the eyelash stops growing and the follicle shrinks. This lasts 2 to 3 weeks.
3. Resting Phase - This phase can last over 100 days before the lashes fall out.
If you have been pulling your eyelashes out, the hair still has to finish its growth cycle. A new one will not grow in any faster, since the other hair was prematurely removed.  When you are wearing extensions, it's important not to pull or tug at them and put your natural lashes at risk.

How Long Will Extensions Last?

Realistically, eyelash extensions last 4 weeks, give or take a couple of weeks, falling out with the natural lash. Some will be lost within a couple of weeks as part of the natural cycle, so it is commonly required to get a refill every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain them.

Eyelash Extension Care Instructions

Be gentle with your lashes. No touching, water, sweat, or steam for 24 hours.
Avoid running water directly on your lashes.
Avoid oily products on or near your lashes.
If you insist on mascara, only use water based mascara and apply it middle to tip, avoiding root area.
Use water based eye makeup remover only!
Do not perm or curl your lashes.
Avoid sleeping on your new eyelashes.
Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely) – If you want them removed, please come back. A special removal agent is used that will protect your natural lashes.
Maintain extensions with regular touch up appointments.

Lash Lift Care Instructions

No heat, steam (includes cooking over steaming stovetop), saunas, water, oils, lotions, creams, shampoos, face washes, makeup remover wipes or pads on lashes for a minimum of 24 hours. Avoid face washes that are mainly oil.

The lashes are still malleable (shape changing) for 24 hours so a side sleeper or face sleeper may notice that the lashes can raise or drop on one or both sides. Sleeping on the back is best.

Latisse

LATISSE® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% is an FDA-approved treatment to grow eyelashes for people with inadequate lashes. With regular applications along the lash line of the upper eyelid, Latisse gradually encourages growth of longer, thicker and darker eyelashes.  For full results, you must use the medication daily for at least two months. Eyelash improvements remain as long as you continue to use the medication.

Some important do's and don’ts.

  • Do not apply to the lower lid or in the eye; blot excess solution with a tissue.
  • Only use the sterile applicators supplied with LATISSE® to apply the product.
  • Don't allow the tip of the bottle or applicator to touch fingers or any other unintended surface; contamination by common bacteria may cause infections.
  • Remove contact lenses prior to applying LATISSE®. Contact lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes afterwards.
  • Remember, if you stop using LATISSE®, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance.
